What People Are Saying

I have been a member of MTNA since 1999. First as a high school, collegiate and graduate competitor, and twice as the first place winner of the West Virginia Young Artist’s Competition (2004 & 2007). I was honored to represent my state at the Eastern Divisional MTNA competition. Aside from being an active performer and competitor, I have also served as an adjudicator, presenter, festival workshop coordinator, WVUMTA collegiate chapter president, secretary and conference participant.

MTNA has offered me invaluable experience as a performer, leader, and educator. I have made many professional connections from around the country and many of these individuals have also become my good friends. I highly encourage anyone who is passionate about the future of the musical arts, either as an instructor or pupil, to get involved and become a member of your local and state chapter.
